Two Vehicle Personal Injury Accident 2-23-17

On February 23, 2017 at around 10:27pm the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a personal injury accident in the 3300 block of Highway 9 east of Superior involving two vehicles.

Lindsey Baxter (26), of Hartley, was eastbound on Highway 9 and crossed the centerline due to the snow-covered roads.  Robert Sandman (32), of Milford, was westbound and tried to avoid a collision.  Baxter struck Sandman’s vehicle on the passenger’s side causing Sandman to go into the ditch.

Baxter was driving a 2006 Buick Lacrosse and the damage estimated was $8,000.  She suffered minor non-incapacitating injuries and was transported to the hospital.  Baxter was cited for failure to maintain control and failure to wear a seat belt.

Sandman was driving a 2003 Ford F150 and the damage estimated was $9,000.  No injuries were reported by Sandman.  He was cited for no insurance.

The DCSO was assisted by the Lakes Regional Healthcare Ambulance, Superior Fire Department, and Bob’s Repair and Tow.
