K-9 Sasha

The Dickinson County Sheriff's Office currently has one certified K-9. Sasha is a female German Shepherd/Labrador mix and is handled by Sheriff's Deputy Josh J. Johnson. K-9 Sasha was purchased through Midwest K-9 of Des Moines in 2011.

K-9 Sasha assists the Dickinson County Sheriff's Office and its deputies in several ways including the detection of narcotics, searching for missing or lost persons, apprehending criminals, searching residence and buildings, and working with schools and service groups within our communities.

Sasha started her career with the Dickinson County Sheriff's Office on July 11, 2011.
