About Us
Welcome to the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office. We are deeply committed to protecting our community by proudly upholding the laws of the State of Iowa and the ordinances of Dickinson County. Led by the Sheriff, our hardworking staff includes deputies, jailers, dispatchers, and administrative personnel who share a common goal: serving the public with integrity and respect.
Law enforcement in Dickinson County is a collaborative effort. Behind the scenes, our dispatchers coordinate emergency responses around the clock, and our jailers oversee a safe and secure facility. On the front lines, our deputies provide a highly visible and reassuring presence across our community.
Our primary patrol area covers all unincorporated regions of the county. Furthermore, we are honored to serve as the dedicated law enforcement presence for the cities of Wahpeton, Superior, and Terril through specialized protection contracts. At every level of our agency, we strive to build trust, foster strong community partnerships, and maintain a safe environment for everyone who lives, works, and visits Dickinson County.
