Sheriff & Deputies

Sheriff Greg Baloun was elected Dickinson County Sheriff in 1992 and subsequently took office on January 1, 1993. Sheriff Baloun is currently serving his seventh term in office, having been re-elected in 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016. Prior to being elected Sheriff, Baloun spent nine years with the Lake Park Police Department, eight of those years as the Chief of Police. Sheriff Baloun is a D.A.R.E. instructor and teaches students at all four school districts in Dickinson County. In 2007, Sheriff Baloun graduated from the FBI North Central Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar (LEEDS).
