Trompeter Arrested on Drug Charges 12-29-18

On December 29, 2018 at around 3:17am, the DCSO responded to a person in the middle of the road, flagging people down, a few miles north of Terril on 310th Avenue.  A male was located walking in a ditch near the intersection of 310th Avenue and 200th Street.  The male was identified as Trey Trompeter (22) of Estherville.  It was determined that Trompeter put his vehicle in the ditch near the intersection of 310th Avenue and 190th Street.  The deputy could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Trompeter.  Trompeter was transported to the Dickinson County Jail for further testing.

Trompeter was arrested and charged with OWI 1st offense, fail to maintain control, possession of a controlled substance (marijuana), possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of contraband in a jail facility.

The DCSO was assisted by the Emmet County Sheriff's Office.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
